WARM colours vs. COOL colours
Hi guys, how are you doing?
We are going to talk about colour this time. There are several colour classifications:
- Primary, secondary and tertiary colours.
- WARM and COOL colours.
- Complementary colours.
- Analogous colours.
- Triadic.
- Hue, shade, tint and tone.
We'll work with WARM and COOL classification.
WARM colours seem like hot sensation and COOL colours seem like cold sensation.

Watch these two videos and you'll understand better.
Here you are the colour wheel not coloured. Print it out and draw the line over the circle in order to divide the wheel into WARM and COOL colours. Colour the wheel and finally glue it in your Art Block, if you have it. If you don't have a printer, draw your own colour wheel.
And finally a worksheet where you can practice what you have learned in this post. The instructions are in the worksheet. If you don't have a printer, make two identical draws and follow the worksheet instructions.

Vamos a hablar sobre el color. Existen diferentes clasificaciones de los colores:
- Colores primarios, secundarios y terciarios.
- Colores cálidos y fríos.
- Colores complementarios.
- Colores análogos.
- Triada de colores
- Color puro, sombra, tinte y tono.
Trabajaremos con la clasificación cálidos y fríos.
Los colores cálidos nos transmiten sensación de calor y los fríos, sensación de frío.
Observa la rueda de color.
Mira los dos vídeos y entenderás mejor.
Aquí tienes la rueda de color sin colorear. Imprímela y dibuja la línea para separa los colores cálidos de los fríos. Colorea la rueda y pégala en block de art si lo tienes. Si no tienes impresora, dibuja tu propia rueda de color.
Para terminar tienes una ficha de trabajo donde podrás practicarlo que has aprendido en este post. Las instrucciones están en la ficha. Si no tienes impresora haz dos dibujos idénticos y sigue las mismas instrucciones.
(Instrucciones de la ficha: Colorea las vidrieras. Una con colores cálidos y la otra con colores fríos. Pégalas en tu block de art si lo tienes y, si es posible, mándame una foto. Consejo: Escucha música clásica o ambiental mientras coloreas y relájate).

Here you have a hands rhythm. The video is very well explained so go slow, step by step, practice and be patient. Try to increase the speed and play it as fast as possible. I hope we all can play it together at school and have fun.
It would be cool if you'd find a song to play the rhythm with it. Leave me a comment with the song title if you have one, please!

Aquí tenéis un ritmo de manos. El vídeo está muy bien explicado así que id despacio, paso a paso, practicad y tened paciencia. Intentad aumentar la velocidad e interpretadlo tan rápido como os sea posible. Espero que lo podamos tocar tod@s junt@s en el cole y pasar un buen rato.
Sería genial si encontrarais una canción con la que tocar el ritmo. Dejadme un comentario con el título de la canción si tenéis una.

Saludos e indicaciones
Hola a tod@s.
Aquí tenéis por fin el blog de Music&Art.
Las actividades que os propongo son para que las disfrutéis así que, si por lo que sea no las podéis hacer, no os preocupéis, no pasa nada. Aunque no os lo voy a negar, si a la vuelta me las entregáis, me vais a dar una gran alegría 😀
De momento sólo he posteado actividades de Art, pero en estos días iré subiendo también de música así que daros una vuelta por el blog de vez en cuando.
Os aconsejo que escuchéis música y que cantéis mucho.

Hi 6th graders!
Before this situation we were working in your Miró masterpieces but the draws are in class, so we can't continue until we'll be back. For this reason, I propose you to do the activity that I posted to 5th graders: A self portrait in the style of Picasso.
Go to that post (is right down bellow), first read the post, after reading, watch the two presentations linked and finally use the draws models to make your own self portrait.
Ask me if you have any question and enjoy.

ART 5th El Carmen
Hi guys!
Do you remember that we were about starting our self portrait in the style of Picasso? It's time to make it.
Fortunately you picked your stuff up last Friday so you can make it in your art block. If you don't have it, don't worry, do it wherever you can or wherever you want.
Paint it with any kind of material: markers, paint, watercolours, crayons... Feel free.

Hi guys, how are you doing?
Fortunately, you could pick your art block up last Friday. Therefore, you may finish the butterfly that we were making.
Use any material you have at home. Glue it in your block and finally draw and colour a beautiful background.
I know that some of you guys have already finished this activity. If this is your case, congratulations, you don't have art homework... for now. 😜

Yeah, we were drawing and painting an artwork in the style of Joan Miró.
Unfortunately you couldn't pick your supplies up, but you can make this activity in a paper, construction paper if you have it, whatever... and you can also paint it with any kind of material: markers, paint, watercolours, crayons... Feel free but please, do it, I know you will enjoy it. I advise you to listen to music during you are drawing and painting. Finally, just if you want to, you may put your artwork in a handmade craft frame.

Bueeeeno, vaaaale, no suelo traducir, ya lo sabéis, pero estamos en una circunstancia especial así que... Pero por fa, haced el esfuerzo de leerlo en inglés, ¿vale?
¿Os acordáis de lo que estábamos haciendo antes de esta situación en clase de ART?
Eso es, estábamos dibujando y pintando una obra al estilo de Joan Miró.
Desafortunadamente no pudisteis recoger vuestras cosas, pero podéis hacer este trabajo en un folio, en una cartulina si tenéis, lo que sea... y podéis pintarlo con cualquier material también: rotuladores, témperas, acuarelas, ceras... Tenéis libertad pero por favor hacedlo porque sé que lo vais a disfrutar. Os aconsejo que escuchéis música mientras dibujáis y pintáis. Por último, sólo si queréis, podéis hacerle un marco a vuestra obra de arte con lo que tengáis por casa.
Bajad los pdf Draw a masterpiece 1 y 2 donde tenéis los modelos que estábamos usando el clase.
Estoy deseando ver vuestros trabajos cuando volvamos al cole.
